Our Purpose

Our mission is to create a world where no woman is sidelined by her period.

It started with a white lacrosse skirt

Stanford lacrosse player Greta Meyer was sprinting down the field when she turned to a teammate and asked the question every menstruator knows: “Can you check me?” Her co-founder, Amanda Calabrese, knew the feeling. After nearly a decade competing on the U.S. National Team in lifesaving, she had experienced the stakes of period protection firsthand — especially in a sport where there was nowhere to hide if a product failed. Both women were studying product design at Stanford, where they were trained to find real problems and engineer better solutions. They realized the problem wasn’t them. It was the product.

THE NEXT CHAPTER OF PERIOD CARE

That realization led to a simple question: Why do tampons fail before they’re full? Five and a half years of research, engineering, and testing led to the Sequel Spiral Tampon — a patented design that rethinks how a tampon absorbs from the outside in. Sequel launched in 2024 with FDA 510(k) clearance, and has since earned the trust of athletes at the highest levels of competition, from the Indiana Fever to Olympic and professional athletes. Today, Sequel is bringing that same standard of performance and reliability to menstruators everywhere — making better period care possible wherever life takes you.
