Why would a spiral help with leaks?
Traditional tampons have vertical channels running the length of the body. Fluid follows them — down and around the outside — instead of into the core, so the tampon can fail before it's full. Sequel's patented helical channel interrupts those vertical paths and lengthens the flow path, which is designed to promote even absorption across the full tampon body.
Does it expand differently?
Yes, in how it fills, not how much it holds. A traditional tampon tends to concentrate fluid where it collects first. The helical structure spreads absorption along the length of the tampon instead. Absorbency itself stays within the FDA-defined range for the labeled category.
Is insertion or removal different?
Insertion is the same motion you already know, with one extra step: the compact applicator extends before use. Every box includes step-by-step instructions, and our team is available for product questions. Removal is unchanged — remove by the string, and change at least every 8 hours
Which absorbency should I choose?

What is Sequel made from?
Sequel’s absorbent core is made from viscose rayon. The complete product also includes a polyethylene and polyester security veil, a cotton-polyester string, a fiber finish and an anti-wicking treatment on the string. Sequel is synthetic dye-free and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning every component of the tampon has been independently tested for harmful substances.
Is Sequel FDA approved or FDA cleared?
Sequel is FDA 510(k) cleared—not “FDA approved.” That means the FDA reviewed and cleared the product as a Class II medical device before it could be legally marketed in the United States.
What should I know about toxic shock syndrome (TSS)?
Toxic Shock Syndrome, or TSS, is a rare but serious condition associated with tampon use. Use the lowest absorbency needed, change your tampon every four to eight hours and never wear one for longer than eight hours. If you experience sudden fever, vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, fainting or a rash, remove the tampon and seek medical attention immediately. Always follow the instructions included in the box.
